Taylor Shellfish Farms was honored to host noted author Rowen Jacobsen for a day long tour of three of their shellfish farms. Marco Pinchot, Brand Marketing Director, led the in-depth journey that included water’s edge tastings of fresh Shigoku oysters from Willapa Bay, Kumamotos from Chapman Cove as well as Totten Inlet Virginicas and Totten Inlet Pacifics .

Jacobsen is collecting information, as well as bivalve samples, for his upcoming new book, The Essential Oyster. Scheduled for release 2016, it is sure to become a culinary classic and must-have book for all who savor shellfish.
