There are in the culinary world cooks and then there are chefs. Cook, a word originated from German, means a mixer of ingredients. Chef, from French, means a master of the medium, one who understands how the elements of cuisine work together.
Today there are master chefs described as million dollar chefs. These chefs have not only achieved financial success, they have also opened the kitchen doors to all those seeking to understand the creative process. From mentorship programs to inspiring channel T.V. shows, they have helped millions to experience what makes cuisine such an exciting career choice.
